About

about our gallery

VISION

The vision of our gallery is to gather art pieces from various artists that use the common medium of LEGO bricks. We want to depict how something as small as LEGO bricks can create a complex, intricate, and gigantic-scaled sculpture. Our hope for this gallery is for our viewers to be taken back in time to their childhood days of creating their very own LEGO masterpiece. We know that LEGOs have played a huge role during many people's youth as they would express their creativity through their LEGO brick creations. The artists included in this gallery have taken this idea to the next step and have turned a child's toy into their very own framework of art. Their art explores how LEGOs can be used to create sculptures in a new yet nostalgic way. Each piece included in this gallery shows a new twist on child-like art.

THEME

The theme of our gallery is simply LEGO art. All the artists gathered in this gallery create their art piece by building it via one plastic brick at a time. The art curated into our gallery possesses a complex take on a basic child toy. The art medium of LEGOs gives the artists a limitless creative outlet. These artists can create whatever their heart desires, which is the true beauty of LEGO art.

Furthermore, these artists try to bring something as small as our fingers and toys that are meant for children to bring amusement to all ages. As you look through our artist, you will see how a tiny toy can relate to our struggles to making objects that we see in our daily life. Our vision for this gallery is to show that these small legos can be more than a toy. After you look through our gallery, you will see how these artists bring a toy to something we, as spectators, can not imagine to build.          With that in mind, there are an infinite amount of meanings to every sculpture. Whether you choose to admire the LEGO art with a childlike mindset or a grown-up perspective, you'll always find a new meaning to it, just like any other art piece. Some of these pieces can even just represent a famous character and be admired for how good it looks, like the pieces you can find at LEGO land or Downtown Disney.
